What's Next on the Shelf
Anna E. Gordon, Mdiv & MSIS
Librarian and Chaplain
I have loved books since before I could read. Growing up in a family of readers surrounded by bookshelves, newspapers/magazines, and to be read piles on every surface I knew there was something magical about the written word.
As a child I used to lay in the grass outside reading every book I could get my hands on. I especially loved the books that "weren't right for me." The books my older brothers were reading, the books that teachers said were too hard or too complicated, the books hidden in the "parenting section" at the library. I used to hide in corners clutching these books. Treasuring the words on the page, admiring the cover art, staring lovingly at the pictures.
While my writing isn't always the most polished or my opinions the most sophisticated, I am thrilled to be able to share my love of books with the world.
