A perfect book for introducing kids to what a map is, and how to create their own. This simple story follows the journey of two kids as they leave their houses: a girl on the left hand pages, and a boy on the right hand pages. Each carrying a pen and piece of paper they draw what they encounter outside until eventually they meet each other and join their maps together.

One of the fun aspects about this book is because of it's simplicity children are able to replicate the activity in their own neighborhood. Whether you live in the country or the city children are able to make maps of their world. At the back of the book are suggestions for different map activities that you can do with children as well as information about different parts of a map (compass rose, map key, labels etc).
